PTMS MAGNETIC SEPARATOR
what is magnetic separation?
Check magnetic field strength
Although it is not common to remove the strength of the iron remover, in some cases, the magnetic strength can be significantly reduced. When the magnet loses strength:
Has been damaged in some way - dropped or bumped, etc.
It has been exposed to very high temperatures, such as when steam cleaning or the like.
Has suffered a loss of structural integrity - probably if it has been cleaned with an acidic or alkaline solution.
It has been replaced by a more effective model.
When the strength of the magnetic field is lost, the separation of the impurity metal is usually less effective. The result may mean that the device is damaged more frequently or the product itself lacks the usual quality - this can lead to customer complaints.
A range of equipment is used to check and record the strength of each magnet. This includes a magnetic test kit and, if needed, a Gauss meter.
Check structural integrity
If exposed to an acidic or alkaline solution, the weld of the iron remover sometimes deteriorates. Crack welding may also occur if the magnet is otherwise damaged, such as by falling. When the weld fails, it allows liquid to enter. If this happens, the iron remover may fail and the overall magnetic field strength may be affected.
Bacteria can also enter through cracks, which will inevitably reduce the quality of the production process. The integrity of the magnetic separation structure will be checked during the audit.
View location
It is possible that product changes or even product changes may mean that the position of the magnetic separator (even the type of separator used) is no longer the best choice for the application. The review will cover this and assess whether the applications and methods of ferrous separation are working effectively. The audit will also report any potential improvements that may be highlighted and can be implemented.
Inspection cleaning system
The cleaning system is very important. The magnetic separator is designed to retrieve and retain particles that are susceptible to magnetism until they are cleaned - either manually or automatically. If the separator designed for manual cleaning is not cleaned regularly, the performance of the separation will undoubtedly be affected. The review team will review with the maintenance and production teams to determine the current cleaning system and propose any improvements to achieve optimal separator performance.
